Zoe's Comedy Movies

These 5 movies are my all time favourites for a great laugh. Not matter what I am feeling these movies never fail in getting me to laugh uncontrollably.

5. Step Brothers (2008) – A story about 2 middle-aged man children living with their single parents gets turned upside down when they fall in love and move in together turning their lives upside down. Watch their hilarious struggle, as they become roommates. Directed by Adam McKay. Starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

4. Wedding Crashers (2005) –Watch two legends crash every wedding they possible can until one starts to fall in love. This is a movie to teach you exactly how to crash weddings and not get caught, until you get caught. Directed by David Dobkin. Starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.

3. White Chicks (2004) –Two FBI agents who are in trouble with their boss think the best way to get back in FBI’s good graces is to dress up as two of the Hamptons most known socialites. Directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. Starring Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans.

2. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) – “If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball”. Watch a group of misfits who have no idea how to play dodgeball, as they try and save their gym Average Joes from Globo-Gym. The humour in this movie never seems to drop the ball. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. Starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Christine Taylor.

1. Rat Race (2001) – “You should have bought a squirrel” An all-star cast in the movie that keeps on giving. Watch 6 people fight for 2 million dollars in a race that has no rules while billionaires from all over the world watch. Directed by Jerry Zucker. Starring Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Lovitz, Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese.

5. Deadpool (2016) – This movie is not for the faint hearted or young or anyone really. This film possesses a very dark humour that you will feel bad for laughing at. I laughed at this movie a lot which is why it has made the top 5.  4. Watchmen (2009) – This film dives into sort of the anti-superhero genre, showing the  underbelly side of being a superhero in a troubled dark decrepit cityscape. I love this film because its plays with an alternate reality by mixing in previous real moments in history, and allows them to help navigate through the plotline.  3. X Men (2000) – What would Hugh Jackman do? Gosh what about those sideburns. What an absolute Australia legend, kicking mutant buts for about 90 minutes in this film.  2. Here are my top 5 superhero movies!  5. Deadpool (2016) - Basically a comedy movie with a superhero origin story plot, Ryan Reynolds kills it (pun intended) as Deadpool, the profane, fourth-wall breaking, invincible hero simultaneously trying to get revenge and get back his girl. 4. The Avengers (2012) - The culmination of several movies focusing on individual heroes to bring them all together for one star-studded adventure, the Avengers lived up to the hype, with the first half of the movie focusing on squabbles between the heroes before finally putting aside their differences for a large scale finale. 3. Captain America: Civil War (2016) - Similar to The Avengers, this film manages to balance multiple seperate superheroes each with their own storyline, while also containing the perfect mix of humour and action.
