Final Post

This post will mark the end of Top 5 Movies Under 50 Characters. This post will summarise what we have achieved in this blog and how we got here. But first we put together a small video to show our favourites from each week!! We all decided that it would be fun to make a blog all about our favourite movies, but how could we choose just one. So we picked out our top 5 movies from a genre each week. Week 1 was comedy movies, week 2 was action movies, week 3 was superhero movies and week 4 was animated movies. We all wrote out our own posts with a 250 word limit with each post. It was decided early on that our top pick would have a movie poster from that film so that people could put a face to the name of the film. The posts were done every few days and people would post all posts before Sunday of that week so we could start with the next week. All of us had equal responsibility for this blog. We all took care of ours posts, Matt had the idea for how the video was set out and Z

Here are my Top 5 favourite animated movies! 5- Team America: World Police (2004) - Not sure if this counts, as its made completely with puppets. This movie is timeless classics written and directed by the South Park guys, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. This film showcases a satirical view of America and its war on terrorism. Murica!  4 – A Bugs Life (1998) Loved this movie as a kid! A band of unlikely bug heroes save an ant colony from the evil Grasshoppers led by Kevin Spacey.  3. South Park the Movie (1999) – The movie is absolutely flawless. Follows the adventures of 4, 3rd graders in a small mountain town in Colorado as the try to save the world.  2. Monsters Inc (2001) - I'm watching you Wazowski! Always watching.  1. Finding Nemo (2003)  – I love that fish. There are my top 5 picks for animated week! These are my favourite animated movies that I could watch on repeat no matter what.  5. Finding Nemo (2003) - "Just keep swimming" - Dory. This movie that is set in the ocean is another Disney Pixar classic. Marlin's son Nemo gets taken by a human after he "touches the butt" and Marlin meets a fish called Dory with short term memory loss who helps him find his son. Watch as both father and son find more things out about themselves that they didn't know before. A definite must watch! 4. The Incredibles (2004) - Superheroes have been banned by the government, send into witness protection and forced to live normal lives. Watch the Parr family slip back into their super suits for a life of adventure rather an a normal suburban life. This movie probably has one of the best one-liners I've ever seen in a Disney film. 3. The Little Mermaid (1989) - A classic story of a rebellious teenage daughter going

5) The Road to El Dorado (2000)- A hilarious flick about two greedy con artists who find themselves trapped aboard a ship to Mexico, and eventually treated as gods in a lost Mexican city. 4) Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1999)- As a lover of all things Pokemon growing up, this was a favourite during my younger years, and is still a great watch for some nostalgia. 3) Shrek 2 (2004)- While the first Shrek will always be special, I believe Shrek 2 is a slight improvement, with a better plot, better humour and a better soundtrack. 2) Cars (2006)- Most people would rate several Pixar films above Cars, however this movie came out when I had a car obsession, and I've loved it ever since. 1) The Lion King (1994)- Funny, emotional, beautiful. The ultimate animated movie, and rightfully considered one of the best movies of all time.
