5. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) - Chaos. Thats the best word to describe this movie. The most recent addition to the Mad Max franchise, this film is a non-stop exhilerating thrill ride.

 4. Casino Royale (2006) - No action list would be complete without a Bond film, and Daniel Craig's first foray into the character just beats out some of the more classic films as the perfect reflection of the famous spy in Ian' Fleming's inconic book series.

 3. First Blood (1982) - Sylvestor Stallone stars as Rambo, a misunderstood war veteran hunted by US authorities. Expect blood and violence in this classic action adventure film.

 2. The Expendables 2 (2012) - Sylvestor Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The ultimate action cast for the ultimate action film.

 1. Furious 7 (2015) - Somehow the Fast and Furious franchise tops itself with each installment, with the 7th film being the most over the top yet. Add in the emotional final scene to farwell the late Paul Walker and the perfect action movie is the result.

5. Deadpool (2016) – This movie is not for the faint hearted or young or anyone really. This film possesses a very dark humour that you will feel bad for laughing at. I laughed at this movie a lot which is why it has made the top 5.  4. Watchmen (2009) – This film dives into sort of the anti-superhero genre, showing the  underbelly side of being a superhero in a troubled dark decrepit cityscape. I love this film because its plays with an alternate reality by mixing in previous real moments in history, and allows them to help navigate through the plotline.  3. X Men (2000) – What would Hugh Jackman do? Gosh what about those sideburns. What an absolute Australia legend, kicking mutant buts for about 90 minutes in this film.  2. Here are my top 5 superhero movies!  5. Deadpool (2016) - Basically a comedy movie with a superhero origin story plot, Ryan Reynolds kills it (pun intended) as Deadpool, the profane, fourth-wall breaking, invincible hero simultaneously trying to get revenge and get back his girl. 4. The Avengers (2012) - The culmination of several movies focusing on individual heroes to bring them all together for one star-studded adventure, the Avengers lived up to the hype, with the first half of the movie focusing on squabbles between the heroes before finally putting aside their differences for a large scale finale. 3. Captain America: Civil War (2016) - Similar to The Avengers, this film manages to balance multiple seperate superheroes each with their own storyline, while also containing the perfect mix of humour and action.
