This post will mark the end of Top 5 Movies Under 50 Characters. This post will summarise what we have achieved in this blog and how we got here. But first we put together a small video to show our favourites from each week!! We all decided that it would be fun to make a blog all about our favourite movies, but how could we choose just one. So we picked out our top 5 movies from a genre each week. Week 1 was comedy movies, week 2 was action movies, week 3 was superhero movies and week 4 was animated movies. We all wrote out our own posts with a 250 word limit with each post. It was decided early on that our top pick would have a movie poster from that film so that people could put a face to the name of the film. The posts were done every few days and people would post all posts before Sunday of that week so we could start with the next week. All of us had equal responsibility for this blog. We all took care of ours posts, Matt had the idea for how the video was set out and Z...

Here are my Top 5 favourite animated movies! 5- Team America: World Police (2004) - Not sure if this counts, as its made completely with puppets. This movie is timeless classics written and directed by the South Park guys, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. This film showcases a satirical view of America and its war on terrorism. Murica!  4 – A Bugs Life (1998) Loved this movie as a kid! A band of unlikely bug heroes save an ant colony from the evil Grasshoppers led by Kevin Spacey.  3. South Park the Movie (1999) – The movie is absolutely flawless. Follows the adventures of 4, 3rd graders in a small mountain town in Colorado as the try to save the world.  2. Monsters Inc (2001) - I'm watching you Wazowski! Always watching.  1. Finding Nemo (2003)  – I love that fish. There are my top 5 picks for animated week! These are my favourite animated movies that I could watch on repeat no matter what.  5. Finding Nemo (2003) - "Just keep swimming" - Dory. This movie that is set in the ocean is another Disney Pixar classic. Marlin's son Nemo gets taken by a human after he "touches the butt" and Marlin meets a fish called Dory with short term memory loss who helps him find his son. Watch as both father and son find more things out about themselves that they didn't know before. A definite must watch! 4. The Incredibles (2004) - Superheroes have been banned by the government, send into witness protection and forced to live normal lives. Watch the Parr family slip back into their super suits for a life of adventure rather an a normal suburban life. This movie probably has one of the best one-liners I've ever seen in a Disney film. 3. The Little Mermaid (1989) - A classic story of a rebellious teenage daughter going ...

5) The Road to El Dorado (2000)- A hilarious flick about two greedy con artists who find themselves trapped aboard a ship to Mexico, and eventually treated as gods in a lost Mexican city. 4) Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1999)- As a lover of all things Pokemon growing up, this was a favourite during my younger years, and is still a great watch for some nostalgia. 3) Shrek 2 (2004)- While the first Shrek will always be special, I believe Shrek 2 is a slight improvement, with a better plot, better humour and a better soundtrack. 2) Cars (2006)- Most people would rate several Pixar films above Cars, however this movie came out when I had a car obsession, and I've loved it ever since. 1) The Lion King (1994)- Funny, emotional, beautiful. The ultimate animated movie, and rightfully considered one of the best movies of all time. 5. Deadpool (2016) – This movie is not for the faint hearted or young or anyone really. This film possesses a very dark humour that you will feel bad for laughing at. I laughed at this movie a lot which is why it has made the top 5.  4. Watchmen (2009) – This film dives into sort of the anti-superhero genre, showing the  underbelly side of being a superhero in a troubled dark decrepit cityscape. I love this film because its plays with an alternate reality by mixing in previous real moments in history, and allows them to help navigate through the plotline.  3. X Men (2000) – What would Hugh Jackman do? Gosh what about those sideburns. What an absolute Australia legend, kicking mutant buts for about 90 minutes in this film.  2. Dark Knight Rises (2012) – Amazing film, brilliant acting from the late Heath Ledger. The intensity and dialogue of the final scenes are so good. “WHERE IS SHEEE”.  1. Daredevil (2003) – Ben Affleck has brought shame to himself an...

Here are my top 5 superhero movies!  5. Deadpool (2016) - Basically a comedy movie with a superhero origin story plot, Ryan Reynolds kills it (pun intended) as Deadpool, the profane, fourth-wall breaking, invincible hero simultaneously trying to get revenge and get back his girl. 4. The Avengers (2012) - The culmination of several movies focusing on individual heroes to bring them all together for one star-studded adventure, the Avengers lived up to the hype, with the first half of the movie focusing on squabbles between the heroes before finally putting aside their differences for a large scale finale. 3. Captain America: Civil War (2016) - Similar to The Avengers, this film manages to balance multiple seperate superheroes each with their own storyline, while also containing the perfect mix of humour and action. Plus that airport scene is the best action sequence ever! 2. Watchmen (2009) - Set in the 1980s in an alternate universe, a bunch of retired ...

It is a great movie, however not for the kids! Watch Wade Wilson in a story of revenge and badassery get back everything that he has lost.  3. Ironman (2008) – The beginning of the marvel superhero series.
